The Manual of Style is intended as guidelines to help make our pages more uniform and our information easy to understand and edit.

As this site is hosted by FANDOM, please remember that this wiki has to abide by their Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

Article Title

All pages will have an introductory section with the Page Title in bold.

Article Body

Relevant information on the subject goes in the article body.

Subheading

If necessary, the article body can be broken up by subheadings.

Formatting Rules

The follow rules are to be observed in regard to all articles:

Basic Formatting and Tense

• Narrative present tense is standard for all articles. Only events that took place prior to the time period covered in the source material will be in narrative past tense. (For more information on tense, please see examples here).
• Articles should be written from an in-universe perspective.
• No first or second person, and no use of "the player."
• American spelling, grammar and terms will be used.
  • i.e. realised realized
• Punctuation will follow the British standard.
  • "punctuation." "punctuation".
• No contractions or casual language in articles, excluding quotes.
• Mission names should not be in quotes.
• Game titles should be italicized.
• "Batman and Robin", not "Batman/Robin".
• [sic] is to be used when there is an error in the original source material.
• For character pages, terms such as "primary protagonist", "secondary protagonist", "tertiary protagonist", "quaternary protagonist", "quinary protagonist", and so forth and their antagonist counterparts are not necessary and will be removed. Continued attempts to add such superfluous descriptors will result in a warning and possibly other actions.
• For character pages, extensive use and editing of adjectives to describe skills and attributes (i.e. peak human speed, immense human strength) will not be tolerated. Pages will be locked to prevent further edits and the offender issued a warning. Multiple attempts will result in further actions if necessary.

Linking

• No links in subheaders, picture captions, or quotes and associated captions.
• Use a given in-article link only once per page, on its first occurrence (excluding the exceptions above).
  • This rule does not apply to infoboxes; items should be linked in infoboxes as appropriate, and if those same terms appear in the article, their first in-article occurrence should be linked as well.
  • This rule can also be ignored when it comes to in-article lists.
• If the first occurrence contains a possessive, the 's goes inside the link.

References

• If references are used, information should be sourced with the <ref> tag whenever possible.
• Link directly to primary sources when possible, such as to a tweet itself rather than an image of it.
  • Exception: If an image of primary information is uploaded to the wiki, the reference tag should direct to the image file.
• <ref> tags go after punctuation and outside quotes.
  • i.e. "Sample text."
• Avoid sourcing information on webpages where URLs can be altered, such as tumblr, as this will cause the link to break if the URL changes. Either cite the original source, cite a direct link when the source is an image, or upload a screenshot of the information to the wiki after requesting permission from the blog/site owner.

Pictures

• No subtitles or UI elements in screencaps unless necessary.
• All photos should have a searchable name to make them easier to find.
• GIFs should be marked as (GIF) at the end of their caption.
• Picture and gallery captions should have periods at the end.
• Galleries are centered.
• Gallery pictures should be somehow unique, not reiterations of already present pictures.

Trivia

Trivia about the character goes here.

For the purposes of this wiki, Trivia is defined as "uncritical but potentially interesting minor facts in small, concise entries."

Items not appropriate for this section are non-trivia entries such as:

• Mission data
• Combat strategy
• YMMV content
• Anything to which attention is explicitly drawn (thug fluff dialogue yes, plot dialogue no), and information that would be more appropriate for the body of the article.
• The unverifiable

  • The Belfry first appeared in Detective Comics #935 (August, 2016). In the comics, it is a secret headquarters built inside of the Old Wayne Tower by Tim Drake in the heart of Gotham City for the Gotham Knights.
  • WB Games has confirmed that players will not be required to switch their characters at any point in the game's story.

Almost all galleries will be formatted as such:

Categories

• All articles should be categorized.
• Pages should be added to the most specific categories that apply to them. A page must not be added to both a category and its parent, but it can be categorized in multiple unrelated categories.
  • Example: The Mr. Freeze page should be added to the Villains category. It should not be added to the Characters category, as that is a parent category to the Villain category.
